Tom Leopold – Partner
Since 2006, I’ve been helping people use their money as a tool to build the life they want. Most of the people I support are in their forties and fifties: their kids are in education, their lives are busy, and that big question – “Have we got enough?” – is starting to get louder. They’re juggling responsibilities, feeling uncertain about the future, and looking for clarity and confidence about what comes next.
I understand that stage of life because I’m in it too. I live in Surrey with my wife Lauren, our daughter Edie and our sausage dog Ziggy. I’ve been through house moves, career changes and the costs of raising children, so I understand what my clients are going through. I know these big life decisions aren’t just numbers on a page – they’re emotional moments that shape family life.
Clients say I understand them and their families in a way that goes far beyond the numbers. I make financial advice feel clear, calm and unintimidating, and I’m someone they can rely on through the big life decisions — a trusted confidante who tells the truth gently but directly.
Financial planning, to me, isn’t about products or jargon. It’s about creating freedom, security and peace of mind. I always start by exploring my clients’ goals and aspirations — asking questions like: “Do you enjoy your work? How long do you actually want to be doing it for?” and “If money were no object, what would a great life look like to you?” The answers to those questions shape everything that follows.
I hold a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS) and studied at Leeds University. When I’m not with clients, you’ll usually find me playing golf or padel, or cooking something new with my family.
